A good rod rack is a must for the drive up and down 138 on the North Umpqua. This video shows a little more extreme approach to testing the rack for road worthiness. I still run with the old Yakima ski rack but I see these things selling well.

I actually use a "Kwik Catch". Suction cups make me nervous, I like magnets. I drive up to the NU from Roseburg frequently with rods mounted. I have had suction cups come off before, although have never tried the Sumo...
The Yakima ski rack is still the best and safest rack for rods in my opinion. Rods lay flat, very secure. Easy on and off...no rubber band thingy to break at the wrong time
